Instructional Support Personnel Special Education Walton

DEFINITION:

• Previous successful experience teaching or supervising children.
• Ability to communicate successfully with staff and students.
• Ability to follow directions and implement feedback.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist in the preparation of classroom and instructional materials.
• To provide ancillary instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education teacher.
• Supports students and assists teachers as needed throughout the school day.
• Acts as a resource person concerning health/education issues for individual students.
• Performs lunch/recess supervision and other duties as needed.
• Assume responsibility for continuing own education and obtain consultation supervision and peer review as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children.

SALARY RANGE: $27.63 - $33.10per hour
