About the Team
The Enterprise Market Opportunity Business solutions with mobile technologies will represent 2/3 of projected operator revenue growth over the next five years an $1 trillion market opportunity growing at 14% annually.
The Connected Communities team drives cross-industry collaboration which is vital for creating high-value business solutions. Established in 2020 the team comprises nine integrated communities that align with GSMAs wider framework:
- Three vertical-focused communitiesdeepening market insight in key sectors: Manufacturing and Production Fintech and Commerce and Smart Mobility
- Six technology-focused communitiesaccelerating innovation and unlocking market opportunities: Identity and Data 5G Futures Internet of Things Mobile AI Non-Terrestrial Networks and Open Gateway
The teams mission is to help the mobile ecosystem forge relationships understand sector requirements develop tailored solutions and unlock new streams of revenue.
About the Role
The mobile industry is uniquely placed to address identity challenges driving digital safety and trust. The Trust Proposition Director will lead GSMAs strategy to strengthen and scale the mobile industrys trust proposition. The role will shape market direction and accelerate adoption of mobile-enabled solutions across multiple sectors in the areas of user identity user authentication enterprise identity validation and broader digital trust services.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership Set the vision and strategic direction for the Trust Proposition defining priorities and long-term industry outcomes to drive adoption at scale. Delivery and Execution Own the definition and oversight of trust-related initiatives driving towards impactful outcomes. Cross-Industry Collaboration Lead senior cross-industry engagement that shapes the proposition builds alignment across key stakeholder groups and strengthens GSMAs position with mobile operators technology and commercial partners market analysts policymakers and non-governmental organisations.
About You
- Significant senior leadership experience in identity digital trust or digital transformation within telecoms financial services or an identity solution provider.
- Deep understanding of the Customer Identity and Access Management market with the ability to translate market developments into strategic direction and proposition priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence with the ability to frame complex trust and identity topics for senior technical commercial and policy audiences.
- Strong strategic understanding of network APIs mobile identity and anti-fraud initiatives enterprise identity verification across channels and the ability to direct specialist contributors where deeper expertise is required.
- Strong understanding of how mobile network capabilities address enterprise identity and trust challenges and of carrier-based identity validation processes and their market relevance.
- Track record of leading major transformation programmes or industry-wide initiatives with experience aligning diverse stakeholders around a common strategic agenda.
- Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills with credibility at C-level and the ability to engage policymakers industry bodies and cross-sector partners.
- Strong cultural awareness and judgement with the ability to lead effectively in a global membership organisation spanning multiple markets and stakeholder perspectives.
- Willingness for some global travel as required to represent GSMA and build senior stakeholder relationships.

- Strategic Communication crucial so as to position the trust proposition clearly and credibly for senior audiences with varying levels of understanding of identity trust and the mobile ecosystem.
- Leadership critical in order to define vision set direction and establish thought leadership that advances adoption of mobile-enabled trust services.
- Agility essential so as to evolve the proposition and delivery approach in response to market developments member priorities and the wider digital trust landscape.
- Influence needed to build alignment secure commitment and shape industry action among senior stakeholders across members partners and external organisations.
- Delivery important to translate strategy into a focused roadmap and ensure momentum through GSMA and external engagement opportunities.
