Our Hosts are responsible for several functions including but not limited to greet all guests in a prompt and friendly manner ring in takeout and execute curbside pickup orders seat guests and responsible for the overall flow of the restaurant. Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Answer text messages receive and record reservations accurately in a pleasant and attentive manner. 
• Answer questions about food beverages and other restaurant functions and services over the phone and in person.
• Maintain cleanliness of front desk area restocking supplies and ensuring menus are organized.
• Communicate with servers as to when next tables are going to be arriving.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Assist with settling bills and processing any credit debit or cash transactions as required.
• Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.
• Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager in charge.
• Assist in arranging transportation for guests if required.
• Execute ad-hoc tasks are required.

Qualifications :

• 1 years experience is preferred
• Has worked with the Open Table program before - preferred
• Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members partners and customers.
• Basic knowledge of dining room service procedures and functions.
• Basic math skills can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to maintain professionalism control and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Valid Ontario ProServe certification is required
• Open scheduling availability is a requirement.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
