Key professional topics of the department include issues of technology and techniques in the fields of forestry arboriculture and renewable energy sources. Equally important topics developed at the Department of Technology also include ergonomics and occupational safety.

• Planning organizing and overseeing all aspects of the departments activities
• Managing the departments budget and resources
• Leading academic and research staff and employees of the department including their regular evaluations
• Teaching and scientific research activities in the field
• Ensuring high-quality education and student guidance
• Supporting research activities and obtaining grants for the department
• Collaborating with other departments

What do we expect from you

• University education - at least a Ph.D. in the field of forestry arboriculture forestry timber harvesting or a related field; qualification as an associate professor or professor is an advantage
• Excellent active command of Czech knowledge of English for teaching and publication purposes
• Verifiable research activities in the field of forestry arboriculture forestry timber harvesting or related fields experience publishing in journals with an impact factor and leading research projects at both domestic and international levels
• Ability to navigate labor law regulations and economic rules in higher education
• Organizational managerial and communication skills
• Aptitude for both team and independent work
• Personal and professional prerequisites for educational activities
• Willingness to work on personal development and professional growth
