About the role:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the position of Site Director - Surgical Training who is responsible for the direction of the education and training of prevocational trainees at St Vincents Hospital interested in pursuing a career in surgery.
Applicants must have a complimentary appointment within St Vincents Hospital which permits availability and flexibility to undertake the responsibilities of the position.

About you:

Selection Criteria:
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincents Health Australia.
Possess or be eligible to possess specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Possess Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
Sound knowledge of current contemporary clinical practice in Human Reliability Analysis in Surgery (HRA) and associated techniques
Complimentary appointment within St Vincents Hospital which permits availability and flexibility to undertake the responsibilities of the position.
A commitment to and confidence in improving the quality of surgical education and training offered by St Vincents
An understanding of the principles of adult education and professional development
A genuine interest in postgraduate medical education a willingness to develop expertise in surgery and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of the continuum of medical education as a lifelong professional commitment.
