POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Systems Analyst shapes defines and supports the delivery of complex technology and data solutions across complex cross-system and cross-domain landscapes. You will blend deep systems analysis expertise with a understanding of enterprise architecture integration patterns and business strategy. This ensures solutions are robust scalable and aligned to organisational objectives. It enables informed investment decisions and measurable business outcomes.
The Lead Systems Analyst works with senior stakeholders crossâfunctional delivery teams architects and thirdâparty partners to translate complex business problems into clear relevant requirements and solution options. You will drive clarity across the full analysis lifecycle. This lifecycle includes discovery and planning solution design implementation support and handover. You will ensure that it well understands and effectively manages risks dependencies and impacts.
You will report to the Solution Delivery Director.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Analysis Planning and Roadmaps
- Lead end-to-end systems analysis across discovery delivery and BAU covering legacy and greenfield environments.
- Produce integrated analysis plans showing timelines milestones dependencies and required inputs across technology and business teams.
- Provide forward-looking views of analysis priorities solution options and agreement on organisational goals promoting informed decision-making and investment trade-offs.
- Map inter-system and inter-team dependencies ensuring clarity of impacts across architecture data and integration layers.
Governance and Reporting
- Provide decision-ready reporting on progress risks and important insights to support governance and executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Produce stakeholder maps identifying important influences interests and decision-makers.
- Facilitate workshops discovery sessions and decision-capture activities to shape solution direction.
- Be a mediator between business engineering data and architecture teams to resolve conflicts and align outcomes.
Accountability & Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of accountability ensuring clarity of ownership for analysis deliverables.
- Analyse performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve predictability throughput and quality.
Systems & Integration Analysis
- Lead systems analysis across AS-IS gap analysis target journeys processes and data flows.
- Assess end-to-end integration impacts across APIs events batch processes and third-party interfaces ensuring understanding of target architecture.
- Define and validate non-functional requirements including security resilience and performance.
- Produce high-quality artefacts including functional specifications user stories/BDD acceptance criteria UML/BPMN models and interface contracts.
Data Analysis & Insight
- Conduct data profiling reconciliation lineage analysis and control assessments.
- Translate data analysis into applicable insights to support solution design risk mitigation and business outcomes.
Cross-Stream Leadership
- Work with product engineering architecture and operations to ensure solutions are aligned scalable and secure.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor analysts to uplift capability consistency and pace.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- BCS Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent
- Agile certification (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent)
- TOGAF Foundation (or equivalent architecture certification)
- Cloud fundamentals (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner Azure Fundamentals)
- Data-related certification (e.g. data analysis SQL or governance-focused)
Knowledge:
- Experience with Agile Scrum Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
- Experience with integration patterns APIs events cloud and data platforms.
- Familiarity with engineering best practices CI/CD and software development lifecycles.
- Knowledge of project governance risk management and business change processes.
Limited Travel: There is an expectation the candidate will need to travel to the different sites based on business needs.
