Key Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging geography lessons for classes XI and XII in accordance with the CBSE/State curriculum.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans teaching aids and assessment tools that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
- Guide students in project work field trips mapreading exercises and research assignments to enhance practical understanding.
- Organize and supervise cocurricular activities geography clubs and interschool competitions.
- Participate in faculty meetings professional development programs and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and improve overall academic performance.
- Maintain discipline and a safe learning environment adhering to the schools policies and values.
Essential Qualifications
- Masters degree in Geography (. or M.A.) from a recognized university.
- National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized teaching certification (CTET/ preferred).
- Clear understanding of the CBSE/State geography syllabus and examination patterns.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (or regional language).
- Strong analytical organizational and classroom management abilities.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (Classes XIXII).
- Demonstrated success in improving student academic performance and examination results.
- Experience in using digital tools smart classrooms and elearning platforms is an advantage.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities related to geography (e.g. clubs field surveys) is desirable.
