Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic childrens residential home ensuring high standards of care safeguarding compliance and staff performance. You will create a stable trauma-informed environment that supports children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the home through Ofsted registration and maintain compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Manage and develop staff including recruitment supervision rotas and performance management.
• Deliver high-quality child-centred and trauma-informed care.
• Take lead responsibility for safeguarding risk management and incident response.
• Oversee care planning admissions placement stability and positive outcomes for children.
• Build strong relationships with social workers families schools and external professionals.
• Manage budgets staffing costs and operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in childrens residential care and leadership/management.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding Ofsted requirements and Childrens Homes Regulations.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care practices.
• Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and enhanced DBS.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).

Desirable

• Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager.
• Experience opening or registering a new home.
• Experience supporting children with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
