Job Summary

BA/BS degree in Biological Science
-
Minimum 1 year of NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) experience using Illumina or PacBIO instruments
-
Minimum 2 years of high-complexity laboratory experience with oversight of daily high-complexity testing activities
-
Extensive knowledge of microbiology principles theories and related sub-specialties
-
Strong understanding of current scientific methods and laboratory testing procedures
-
Experience using standard laboratory equipment complex scientific instruments and automated analysis techniques
-
Extensive knowledge of laboratory safety practices and principles
-
Knowledge of state and federal laws regulations and policies related to laboratory programs including CLIA
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain productive working relationships
-
Ability to participate successfully in proficiency testing programs

Ability to compile analyze evaluate and prepare laboratory reports
