Plastic Manufacturing Technician - PSC04526
Industry: Plastic Injection Molding
Pay: $75000 - $850000 annually benefits
Schedule: Full-time during 2nd Shift (1PM 10PM)
Overview:
A growing manufacturing organization based in the eastern region of Washington State is seeking an technical Plastic Manufacturing Technician to learn and support mold validation process development and production optimization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about improving efficiency quality and overall process performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and validation of new molds to ensure proper functionality and quality standards
- Develop refine and optimize injection molding processes for improved performance
- Provide technical support to production teams by troubleshooting process-related issues and implementing corrective actions
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including cycle time reduction scrap minimization and efficiency enhancements
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to validate processes and resolve product defects
- Maintain accurate documentation related to setups trials and process changes
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding or plastics processing (more experience preferred)
- Strong expertise in mold setup process development and optimization techniques
- Experience with scientific molding and Design of Experiments (DOE) is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective problem-solving analytical and communication skills
- No scheduling isssues working second shift.
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
