Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Columbia MO
Pay Rate: $70.00 $78.00/hr
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Contract: 12 weeks
Experience: Minimum 2 years
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 12-week contract in Columbia MO. This is a great opportunity for an IR Tech with strong special procedures experience including neuro IR and GI embolization cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist with minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures
- Support routine and emergency IR cases including angiography biopsies tube placements injections and thrombolysis
- Prepare patients review charts verify exam orders and assess procedure readiness
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast under radiologist supervision when applicable
- Monitor patients vital signs and potential adverse reactions
- Manage procedure supplies equipment imaging data PACS and EMR documentation
- Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists providers and healthcare team members
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures experience required
- Experience with neuro IR cases required
- Experience with GI embolization cases required
- ARRT R.T.(R) certification required or one advanced credential: R.T.(VI) R.T.(CV) R.T.(CI) or RCIS
- Active state license required if applicable
- BLS certification preferred
- Ability to work day shift with weeknight and weekend on-call rotation
