Operational Accountant (CR770)

Our client who is based in Klapmuts is seeking a reliable Operational Accountant to execute the day-to-day operational accounting function of the Group with accuracy timeliness and integrity.

The Operational Accountant is the backbone of transactional finance across multiple Group entities. The role directly supports the Financial Manager in delivering a reliable standardised and Xero-based finance function across the Group.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Bookkeeping Function Execute the transactional bookkeeping function in Xero across Group entities ensuring data is complete accurately classified and
• timeously captured.
• Cin7 ERP Management Own the Cin7 Core / Omni ERP environment including inventory purchase orders sales orders production and costing; reconcile Cin7 back to Xero each month.
• Monthly Reconciliations & Month-End Support Prepare and complete bank supplier debtor inventory and VAT reconciliations; support a clean on-time monthly close across Group entities.
• Xero Integration & Systems Adoption Contribute to the standardisation and migration of all Group entities onto Xero; adopt and champion Xero Cin7 DEXT and Paysoft Flow.
• Debtors Creditors & Compliance Support Support debtors and creditors management assist with payment runs and support statutory compliance obligations (VAT PAYE EMP returns) under supervision of the Financial Manager.
• Collaboration & Continuous Learning Integrate into the Company culture collaborate across the finance and operational teams and commit to ongoing development of technical and system skills.

REQUIREMENTS

• BCom in Accounting or an equivalent tertiary qualification from a recognised institution. (A postgraduate diploma in Accounting or Management Accounting will be considered favourably.)
• Completed SAICA SAIPA or CIMA articles. (12 years post-articles work experience will be considered favourably.)
• Hands-on experience in Xero (essential).
• Hands-on experience in Cin7 Core / Omni ERP (essential - inventory sales and production).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables lookups financial analysis).
• Willingness to learn and actively use DEXT and Paysoft Flow.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal).
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport.
