Working closely with the Evidence & Capacity Building Manager Womens Health Victoria (WHV) is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Learning & Development Officer to lead the design and delivery of capability-building initiatives across the health system.

WHV is a statewide feminist not-for-profit leading the pursuit of gender equity in health. We work with government the health sector and the community to create better health outcomes for women (cis and trans inclusive) and gender diverse people.
WHV delivers vital support services to the community and empowering health information. We share evidence and recommendations to challenge bias in the health system. About the role
The Senior Learning & Development Officer is responsible for conceptualising designing and delivering programs that build the knowledge and capability of the health workforce sector and system to provide gender-responsive healthcare.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders this role identifies capability gaps designs evidence-informed learning initiatives and develops implementation plans to ensure programs respond effectively to evolving sector needs.
This 0.8 EFT (negotiable) role plays a key part in driving system-level change by ensuring programs reflect best practice incorporate lived and living experience and align with WHVs strategic priorities.
A strong candidate will bring excellent program design and stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of creating innovative and impactful learning solutions that build workforce capability in complex systems.
Amongst other selection criteria as an ideal candidate youll have:
- Tertiary qualifications in health promotion gender studies program management community development public health training and/ or a related field.
- Minimum five years experience in capability building learning and development program design and implementation in health or a related sector.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking needs assessments and translating evidence into effective program design.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills particularly within the health or social policy sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A creative and innovative approach to designing impactful learning initiatives.
