Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 10:30a-7:30p (may vary due to shift coverage)

Job Summary

Join our team as a Unit Host Supervisor and make a meaningful impact every day! In this role youll lead a team of Unit Hosts and patient services staff to deliver meals with accuracy care and exceptional service. Youll work closely with clinical and culinary teams to ensure dietary needs are met while maintaining a smooth efficient meal service operation. What Youll Do

  • Supervise daily patient meal service operations to ensure timely accurate delivery.
  • Lead coach and support Unit Hosts and patient services team members.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments workflow and shift coverage.
  • Communicate with cooks clinical staff and nursing teams regarding patient needs and service updates.
  • Oversee tray accuracy ensuring all meals meet dietary restrictions and physician orders.
  • Provide friendly professional customer service to patients families and staff.
  • Address and resolve service issues escalating concerns as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout all service areas.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety infection control and hospital protocols at all times.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback coaching and support.
  • Assist with training new team members and reinforcing best practices.
  • Support inventory stocking and organization of unit kitchen areas.
  • Document service issues patient feedback and operational notes as required.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.

What You Will Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous experience in food service hospitality or healthcare required.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow dietary guidelines and hospital protocols.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene food safety and infection control practices.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
  • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical and Sensory Requirements

In this role you will spend most of your time in offices patient care areas and meetings but periodic kitchen visits are part of your oversight responsibilities. Therefore this job involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes airborne particles and moderate noise. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions extreme temperatures and vibration may also occur in the kitchen area. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
