Location: Great Falls MT
Pay Rate: $50.00 $51.00/hr
Schedule: Day shift
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 3 years
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Progressive Care Unit RN for a 13-week contract in Great Falls MT. This role is ideal for a skilled PCU nurse with strong telemetry advanced assessment medication management and medical-surgical patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for PCU medical and surgical patients
- Monitor hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients
- Care for patients with central lines chest tubes arterial lines NG tubes multiple IVs and short-term ventilation support
- Perform skilled assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
- Support pre/post PCI CHF COPD DKA renal failure sepsis PE DVT and surgical patient care
- Manage IV medications including heparin diltiazem dobutamine milrinone amiodarone and dopamine
- Interpret telemetry and basic EKG findings
- Collaborate with providers nurses CNAs and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with discharge planning and patient/family education
Requirements
- Active Montana RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- PCU experience required
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- EPNC and TNCC preferred
- Telemetry and EKG interpretation experience required
- Experience with advanced medical equipment and multiple IV pumps required
- Pediatric and post-heart catheterization experience preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
