About the Opportunity

Austal Defence Australia is seeking a Program Test and Combat Systems Manager to lead the delivery of programlevel test activities and combat systems integration across complex defence projects.

This role is responsible for managing the test and evaluation strategy ensuring system acceptance and leading the integration of complex combat systems across platforms including LCM and LCH. You will work across engineering project teams and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned to scope schedule quality and compliance requirements.

Reporting into senior engineering leadership this position plays a key role in ensuring successful delivery of integrated test programs and combat systems capability.

Whats Involved

  • Lead programlevel Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities and combat systems integration
  • Deliver test outcomes in line with project schedule budget and quality expectations
  • Develop and implement Verification & Validation (V&V) and combat systems strategies
  • Drive system acceptance across LCM and LCH platforms
  • Lead complex systems integration across C4I INDS and weapons systems
  • Coordinate Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and Test & Evaluation Working Groups
  • Manage engineering risks change management and compliance requirements
  • Engage with Defence CoA and industry stakeholders supporting client reporting and reviews
  • Support risk and issue tracking and facilitate resolution through appropriate channels

Youll Need

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Information Technology Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 35 years experience in a digital IT or transformation coordination role with a strong track record of delivery
  • Experience in test planning execution defect management and maintaining traceability
  • Understanding of digital technologies including customerfacing platforms automation and integration solutions
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and endtoend traceability from requirements to delivery
