About Us:MADEC is a not for profit community organisation. Recognized as a Public Benevolent Institution since 2014 we have been providing disability and youth supports in the Mackay and Whitsunday region since 1973. We are a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Provider and Licensed Child Safety provider in Mackay.
About the Role: As a Disability Support Worker working sleepover shifts you will be responsible for creating a supportive and encouraging environment for NDIS closely with your Key Support Workers and Team Leaderyou will help empower individuals to thrive and master independent living role plays an important part in MADECs mission to empower and support people to do their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered supports by ensuring the right amount of assistance to eachindividual.
- Provide documented support including completing incident reports behavior reportshazard reports and maintenance requests.
- Provide positive behavior support by implementing support strategies.
- Empower individuals to exercise choice and control in their lives.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace health & safety.

About You:
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Flexibility to work sleepover shifts and be available between the times of 1500-0900 including weekdays weekends and public holidays.
- A Certificate III in Community Services (or equivalent) or willingness tocomplete.
- A valid Queensland Drivers License.
- A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance orwillingness to obtain.
