Job Description Summary
Leads the technical writing function by defining documentation strategy information architecture and governance across products and teams. Serves as a subject matter expert in DITA content reuse and documentation tooling while mentoring writers and driving documentation quality consistency and scalability. Influences cross-functional stakeholders to ensure documentation meets user product and business needs.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Must have skills
- Experience in Astoria Oxygen XML Editor DITA XML and other structured authoring / content management tools used for creating managing and publishing technical documentation.
- Expertise in documentation strategy and information architecture
- Advanced knowledge of DITA and large-scale content reuse
- Experience owning documentation tools and platforms including CMS and authoring tools
- Ability to drive documentation governance across multiple products and teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience defining documentation quality standards and metrics
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority
- Leadership mentoring and change-management capabilities
Good to have skills
- Good to have experience in version control systems documentation publishing tools collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence and basic knowledge of automation or workflow tools.
- Experience leading a technical writing team
- Experience with documentation automation and workflow optimization
- Familiarity with cross-product documentation governance in matrixed organizations
- Experience in complex technical domains such as software enterprise systems or industrial products
- Knowledge of documentation analytics and continuous improvement methods
- Experience working with executive-level stakeholder
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Technical Communication English Communications Computer Science or a related field
10 years of technical writing experience
