The opportunity

Werelooking for an experienced and creativeEvents Managerto join our Marketing and Communications team on a permanent basis based in London with a hybrid working model.

This is ahighprofilerole responsible for delivering a dynamic and impactful programme of customer broker employee and industry events across the UK and Europe.Youllwork closely with senior leadersto design and deliver events that support commercialobjectives strengthenrelationshipsand elevate the QBE brand.

From flagship industry conferences and premium corporate hospitality to executive dinners and engagement events this role offers genuine varietyvisibilityand the opportunity to make a real impact.

Your new role

As Events Manageryoulllead the planning and delivery of QBEs flagship customer broker employee and industry events across the UK and Europe. Working closely with senior leadersyoullturn business objectives into high- impact experiences that strengthen relationships and elevate the QBE brand.

Youllown the European events calendarendtoend balancing strategycreativityand flawlessexecution. This is a highly visible role within the Marketing team offering real influence and variety.

Main responsibilities

  • Own and deliver QBEs annual programme of customer broker employee and industry events across the UK and Europe.

  • Leadendtoendevent delivery from strategy and concept through toonsiteexecution.

  • Deliver flagship conferences executiveeventsand premium corporate hospitality experiences.

  • Manage exhibition presence at major industry events including stand design build andonsitedelivery.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on event strategyplanningand delivery.

  • Manage event budgetssuppliersand contracts to ensurecosteffectivehighqualitydelivery.

  • Lead and develop a smallhighperformingevents team (two direct reports).

  • Ensure all events align with brand guidelinespoliciesand codes of conduct.

  • Measure and report on event impact using insights to continuously evolve the events programme.

About You

Yourea commercially minded events professional who understands howgreat eventsdrive relationshipsreputationand business outcomes. Confident working with senior leaders you bring a strategic lens to event planning whilemaintainingexceptional attention to detail.

You thrive in afastpacedhighvisibilityenvironment and enjoy taking full ownership from concept to delivery.Youreflexiblecollaborativeand energised by delivering standout experiences.

Skills and experienceyoullbring

  • Experience deliveringhighimpactcorporate client or industry events ideally withinfinancialprofessionalor business services.

  • Goodstrategic understanding of how events support brandengagementand commercialobjectives.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working closely with senior executives.

  • People management experience with the ability to lead and develop a small team.

  • Strong brand awareness and confidence working within brand guidelines.

  • Outstanding attention to detailplanningand organisational skills.

  • Experience managing budgets suppliersagenciesand sponsorship agreements.

  • Flexibility to support events that may involve occasional late evenings or travel.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely withbusiness stakeholdersand marketing colleagues.
