Job Summary
- Internalize and customize prepared dance curriculum to deliver high-quality age-appropriate movement instruction to students in grades K5 on a regular basis.
- Assess and document student growth in dance skills and artistic development; adjust instructional approach at the class-wide small group and individual level in response to student progress.
- Create an inclusive joyful studio culture that honors each students individual learning style while maintaining high expectations for participation effort and respect.
- Model and reinforce Innovas CREATE values through dance instruction using the art form as a vehicle for building confidence discipline and collaboration in young learners.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students families and colleagues; communicate regularly with parents and classroom teachers to support the whole child.
- Collaborate with the instructional team to connect dance concepts to broader academic learning and contribute to school-wide performances events and community showcases.
Qualifications :
- College Diploma in relevant course of study and/or work experience to demonstrate expertise in K-5 grade education.
- NYS Teaching Certification or working towards attaining such certification.
