As the Manager of Financial Reporting you arent just closing the books as there is a very qualified Corporate Controller to orchestrate that. You will be a critical architect of the companys financial narrative during a period of massive expansion following a organic growth and a flurry of strategic acquisitions. Reporting directly to the CFO you will have a seat at the table with the executive suite transforming raw data from dozens of service centers into the sophisticated pro-forma insights that drive board-level decisions. This is a role for a technical expert who thrives on the heavy lift of integration and enjoys the professional prestige of being the point person for PE sponsors and auditors.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and distribution of comprehensive financial statements in accordance with GAAP and Private Equity reporting standards.
- Synthesize complex trial balances across multiple entities to ensure 100% reporting accuracy.
- Drive the Add Back process for EBITDA calculations identifying pro-forma adjustments crucial for PE valuation and performance tracking.
- Architect and maintain Power Query workbooks to automate the flow of data from ERP (NetSuite) systems into standardized reporting templates.
- Manage the reporting interface with ensuring all portfolio data is formatted and uploaded correctly for the PE sponsors review.
- Direct the integration of newly acquired businesses mapping historical data to create two-year comparability financials for executive analysis.
- Partner directly with the CEO CFO and COO to provide commentary and insights that explain the why behind the numbers.
- Oversee Debt Covenant Compliance monitoring financial ratios to ensure the company remains in good standing with lending partners.
- Facilitate the annual audit process as the primary point of contact for Deloitte ensuring a clean and efficient review.
- Collaborate with external advisory firm on specialized technical accounting projects and Quality of Earnings (QofE) transitions.
- Modernize legacy reporting processes by migrating manual Excel workbooks into next-generation planning and reporting systems.
- Analyze regional performance metrics helping the leadership team evaluate the profitability of geographical expansion recipes.
- Present monthly financial packages to the PE board acting as a trusted advisor on the companys fiscal health and growth trajectory.
Experience
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward it is highly preferred.
- Direct experience in Public Accounting or a background managing complex PE reporting packages.
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel and a deep understanding of aligning disparate balance sheets for consolidated reporting.
- Prior experience within a Private Equity Portfolio Company (PortCo) with a solid grasp of EBITDA Pro-forma financials and Add Backs.
