About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor Educator to join our team at our Nannup site on a permanent full-time basis.

The Counsellor Educator will provide professional alcohol and other drug (AOD) counselling education and support to consumers and their families within a residential setting. The role will have a strong focus on consumer engagement.

The Nannup Therapeutic Community facility is located in a beautiful rural setting near Nannup in the Southwest of Western Australia.

Hours of Work:

The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis working 76 hours PFN. Level 4/5 salary of $96295 $113725 per annum depending on experience.

To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications skills and experience:

• Degree in social behavioural or health sciences.
• Well-developed assessment and counselling skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working with consumers experiencing issues related to alcohol and other drug use.
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated and well-developed interpersonal verbal and written communication.
• Full work rights Current National Police Clearance Drivers License and First Aid Certificate.
