Koorana has a fantastic opportunity for two (2) Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educatorsto join Kooranas Early Childhood Educations Services Team on a permanent full-time basis from 8.00am-4.00pm at our new inclusive preschool in Bass Hill opening soon.
The Opportunity
- The Early Childhood Educator contributes to the operation of our preschool program. They will work collaboratively with the wider preschool team to:
- Deliver a quality early childhood education program which reflects the Early Years LearningFramework.
- Implement specific intervention strategies as determined by the Educational Leader andtransdisciplinary team.
- Engage in reflective practice and assessment to enrich childrens learning.
- Assist the teams to prepare resources to support childrens learning outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication to support the successful delivery of service to children andfamilies.
- Adhere to Kooranas Preschool Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct.

- Experience working with children with high support learning needs in an early childhoodsetting.
- Have a sound understanding of inclusive practice.

- The ability to effectively collaborate with other professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An understanding of early child development and evidence-based practice in early childhood education and care.
What Youll Bring
A sound understanding of:
- National Quality Framework for Early Education inclusive of the National Law and Regulations Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
- Child Safe Organisation and Child Well Being Legislation
- First Aid Certificate (including CPR Asthma and Anaphylaxis).
Qualifications and Checks
- An ACECQAapproved Early Childhood Educator qualification (Diploma).
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current NDIS Workers Check (or eligibility to obtain).
Hours Location & Employment Type
- Fulltime permanent Bass Hill (8:00am4:00pm MondayFriday).
- Operates in line with NSW Department of Education school terms; school holidays are set aside for staff planning reflection training and team building.
