About Max Casino
Max Casino is looking to hire a Slot (Operations) Shift Manager to join our team! The Slot Shift Manager reports to the Casino Operations Manager and is responsible for maintaining the casino floor while supervising all slot operations during the swing shift.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Casino Operations Manager.
- Serve as the Manager on Duty during assigned shifts overseeing casino operations and staff performance.
- Maintain a designated area of the casino floor and supervise all slot operations within that area.
- Resolve guest disputes machine malfunctions and team member issues ensuring clear communication with the Shift Manager and seeing each issue through to resolution.
- Participate in all aspects of Slot Operations including initiating and witnessing jackpots and promoting slot events.
- Report all operational issues to the Executive team promptly.
- Promote and maintain the highest integrity and premier guest service standards.
- Ensure the Slot Department operates efficiently and successfully in all areas.
- Implement established policies and procedures about the Slot Floor.
- Maintain cleanliness on the floor in the assigned area and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the entire floor.
- Ensure all MTL and CTS information is entered and logged by the end of the shift if applicable.
- Collaborate with Shift Managers to complete daily/weekly schedules vacation schedules team member reviews and counseling.
- Capable of pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and able to stand or walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift.
- Perform other assignments as directed by management.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- .Previous experience in security slot machine maintenance or a related field is required.
- Nevada Gaming Registration required.
- Alcohol Awareness Card required.
- Develop and mentor slot department team members providing support and motivation to all slot positions.
- Ensure cleanliness on the floor in the assigned area and contribute to overall floor cleanliness.
Technical Skills
- Knowledgeable about different types and manufacturers of slot machines.
- Ability to utilize the slot computer system as well as Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of OneNote is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of Title 31 and adherence to federal cash reporting requirements.
- Strong communication skills to maintain good rapport with other departments and coworkers within the department.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations and the ability to determine when to contact the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB).
- Carry basic tools to perform machine work at a minimum a screwdriver and a flashlight.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting: Typically 1 hour in an 8-hour shift.
Standing: 3 ½ hours in an 8-hour shift. Alternates continuously with walking.
Walking: 3 ½ hours in an 8-hour shift. Alternates continuously with standing.
