As a Planning Officer you will provide advice on Town Planningmatters and assist in all professional Town Planning functions asperformed by the Planning Services team. This includes processingdevelopment subdivision and rezoning proposals; preparing reportsand provide professional advice to the residents of Rockingham.

You have well developed written and verbal communication skillscoupled with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. Youare highly organised and possess contract and project managementskills. You have sound knowledge of Town Planning legislation andprinciples including related environmental and land use practicesand their applications.

Possessing of a Degree in Town (Urban) Planning or equivalent ina related field is essential you also have experience in thisfield making you eligible for membership to the Planning Instituteof Australia.

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and organisational skills
• Negotiation decision making and interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of Planning principles and other environmental and land use practices and their application
• Sound knowledge of Planning legislation
• Sound knowledge of the operation of a Local Government authority particularly in regard to town planning matters
• Sound knowledge of the Residential Design Codes and the subdivision and development approval process and related legislation
• Sound knowledge of Planning legislation acts and statutes
• Considerable practical experience in the profession of planning

We are offering a salary range between $102707 to$110461 per annum depending on skill and experienceand:

• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
