Automation QA Engineer

Position Description:

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automation QA Engineer with 8years of experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Selenium WebDriver Cucumber and Karate with a strong background in test design functional validation and CI/CD integration. This role involves close collaboration with product managers developers and QA peers to ensure robust high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

. Design and develop robust BDD frameworks using Selenium WebDriver TestNG and Cucumber for functional and regression testing.
. Analyse Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) to design comprehensive manual test cases and identify key automation opportunities.
. Develop and maintain automation scripts for functional and regression testing using Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.
. Design and implement API automation frameworks using Karate for service-level testing.
. Conduct functional regression and integration testing across multiple application components.
. Collaborate with product management to review and refine test cases based on feedback and evolving requirements.
. Develop Maven-based build scripts to manage automation execution and regression testing for new builds and updates.
. Log track and manage defects using JIRA performing retesting and regression verification after fixes.
. Integrate automation suites with Jenkins for continuous integration and automated test execution.
. Participate in daily stand-ups walkthroughs and weekly automation meetings to align QA efforts with development and release cycles.



Key Requirements
5yearsof hands-on experience in Automation Testing with a strong focus on BDD frameworks and continuous integration processes.

. Strong proficiency in Java programming for developing and maintaining automation scripts.
. Proven experience with Selenium WebDriver TestNG and Cucumber for end-to-end web automation.
. Expertise in designing and developing BDD automation frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber.
. Hands-on experience with API automation testing using the Karate framework (or equivalent).
. Deep understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) Defect Life Cycle and QA best practices.
. Experience in Maven for build management and Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
. Proficiency in JIRA for test management defect logging and reporting.
. Working knowledge of Git/GitHub (or Bitbucket) for version control and collaborative development.
