Substitute Bus Monitors at Special School District (SSD) help create a safe supportive transportation experience for students across St. Louis this role you will assist students as they board ride and exit the bus helping ensure they feel secure respected and supported throughout their route. Working alongside bus drivers you will help manage student behavior assist with adaptive equipment and mobility needs and support safety procedures during daily transportation and emergency situations. This position works up to five hours per day Monday through Friday on an as-needed basis with assignments available throughout the county based on transportation needs.

Experience and Education

• Previous transportation experience preferred
• Experience working with children preferred

Salary

• $17.92/hr to $23.03/hr based on years of comparable full-time experience
