Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing
Location: Mount Olive North Carolina 28365
Type: Contract
Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (30-Minute Break)
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a long-term care/skilled nursing team in Mount Olive North Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care support clinical operations and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure excellent resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor assess and document patient conditions vital signs and treatment responses
- Assist with patient assessments and individualized care planning
- Provide wound care IV therapy and nursing procedures within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in EMR/EHR systems
- Supervise CNAs and support staff as assigned
- Respond promptly to patient needs changes in condition and emergencies
- Ensure compliance with infection control safety and facility protocols
- Communicate effectively with residents families physicians and care teams
- Assist with admissions discharges and transfer coordination
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license in North Carolina
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care rehabilitation or skilled nursing facilities
- Experience using EMR/EHR systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
