The Role:

Our team at Integrated Design & Engineering Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Senior CAD Designer to join the team in Mentone Victoria.

To be considered for this role the following prerequisites are:

  • Experience in design & engineering of Defence & Automotive projects.
  • Design experience integrating Defence prime equipment or similar.
  • Experience working with 3D CAD (Siemens NX preferred).
  • Experience creating drawings to AS1100 & / or DEFAUST 5085 drawing standards.
  • Experience working in a structured project driven environment.
  • Australian Citizen (Mandatory).
  • Eligibility to hold Security Clearance (active security clearance desirable).
  • Desirable: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering meeting NER qualification requirements (or equivalent tertiary education).

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Deliver designs and technical solutions meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Create / modify 2D CAD drawings and 3D Parametric Solid Math & Surface Models.
  • Undertake customer liaison functions and attend Design Review meetings.
  • Provide guidance to Designers / Engineers as part of team and project activities.
  • Formulate compile and maintain design documentation.
