As a Manager in our US State and Local Tax (SALT) practiceyoullwork as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Support statetaxadvisoryengagements (e.g. nexus analysesvoluntarydisclosures and salestaxanalyses)acrossindustrieswitha focus onpracticalwell-supportedrecommendations.
SupportUSSALT teamwith matters associated with cross border mergers and acquisitions ranging from due diligence acquisition and divestiture planning cross border financing structures as well as post-merger integrations.
Addresssubstandardwork or work that does not meet firms/clients expectations.
Proactivelyassistin the management of a portfolio of clients while reporting to senior members of theSALT team.
Demonstrate ownership for the quality of the entire file quality of clientserviceand hold other team members accountable.
Lead androlemodel a tech-enabledTax practice by leveraging automation and digitaltoolstooptimizeengagementprofitability.
Use AI inday-to-dayworktodeliverbetterfaster and more profitableoutcomes.
Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awarenessleveragepersonalstrengthsandaddress development areas.
Buildandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswithclient stakeholdersthroughresponsive communicationprofessionalism and attention todetail.

We are looking for individuals who are committed to building a career in US taxation; someone who is looking to build their taxexpertisein state income tax consulting.
Whatyoullbring
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differencesdevelopingand coaching diverse teams and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
3-5years experience in US state corporate.
US CPA or Canadian CPA or other relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
Experience with AI-enabled tools (e.g. Copilot Harvey or similar) is an asset.
Demonstrated interest in AI and emerging technologies is considered an asset.
US inbound (cross-bordertax)experienceisdesirable.
Stronganalyticalskillsand attention todetailwiththeabilitytosynthesizecomplexrulesandfactsintoclearconclusions.
Experience with OneSource orGoSystemand US tax research applications such as Checkpoint BNA or CCH is considered an asset.
Strongwrittenand oral communicationabilitiesinterpersonalskillsandabilitytoworkwellinateamenvironment.
Abilitytomanageprioritiesacrossmultiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment.

The salary range for this position is $84700 - $134700. The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for PwC locations in major citycentres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations.
