Job Summary
Job Profile : Manager – Engineering – Process & Utility (API Division)
Role Objective
To lead and manage engineering operations for process equipment and utility systems in the API manufacturing facility ensuring uninterrupted production compliance with regulatory standards and continuous improvement in efficiency safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities :
Process Equipment Management
Oversee installation operation and maintenance of reactors centrifuges dryers and other API process equipment.
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance schedules are executed effectively.
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
Utility Systems Oversight
Manage utilities including boilers chillers HVAC water systems (RO DM WFI) compressed air and effluent treatment plants.
Ensure continuous availability of utilities to support API production.
Optimize energy consumption and utility efficiency.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to cGMP USFDA EU-GMP and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain engineering documentation including SOPs validation protocols and maintenance records.
Support audits and inspections with accurate technical data.
Project Management
Lead engineering projects such as equipment upgrades utility expansions and automation initiatives.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely project execution.
Prepare CAPEX proposals and manage budgets effectively.
Team Leadership
Supervise engineering staff and technicians ensuring skill development and adherence to safety protocols.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.E./ in Mechanical Electrical Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 8-15 years of exp in engineering
