Information Systems Security Officer - Senior (Division Support)

Position Summary

Provide dedicated senior ISSO support to specific federal operational divisions. Manage day-to-day Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities coordinate with division system owners and ensure compliance across multiple systems while supporting broader enterprise cybersecurity program objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of federal ISSO experience
  • Strong ability to manage multiple systems and stakeholder relationships
  • Experience with the full RMF lifecycle and security artifact development
  • Solid knowledge of NIST 800-53 FISMA and continuous monitoring processes
  • Proven skills in POA&M management and vulnerability tracking
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with operational leadership and system owners
  • Experience supporting audit preparation compliance assessments and quality reviews
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed multi-division environment
  • Strong organizational analytical and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality deliverables and customer service

Security Clearance

  • TS/SCI Eligible (must be able to obtain and maintain)

Location

  • National Capital Region

Certifications

  • IAM Level III certification required (CISSP CISM or CAP)
  • Additional certifications preferred: CRISC CISA or Security

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology or related field required
  • Masters degree preferred
