Job Summary
Job Title : Technical Safety Engineer
Experience : 5 to 10 Years
Location : Bengaluru
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide technical safety engineering support for capital projects and operating assets.
- Conduct and support qualitative & quantitative risk assessments including HAZOP LOPA MOC and QRA studies.
- Develop risk reduction plans and recommend safeguards to maintain safe operations.
- Perform consequence modelling and validate safety analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate safety into project design and operations.
- Support management of change (MOC) and pre-startup safety review (PSSR) activities.
- Review safety processes standards and compliance requirements to ensure operational excellence.
- Provide training mentorship and technical guidance on process safety practices.
Requisites
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of Process Safety Management concepts such as HAZOP LOPA MOC and QRA.
- Experience with technical safety and consequence modelling tools like PHAST SAFETI HYSYS Pro/II or FlareSim.
- Knowledge of process engineering fundamentals including heat transfer fluid dynamics and overpressure protection.
- Familiarity with international safety standards and industrial safety practices.
- Strong analytical problem-solving communication and teamwork skills.
