Job Summary

Job Title : Technical Safety Engineer

Experience : 5 to 10 Years

Location : Bengaluru

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical safety engineering support for capital projects and operating assets.
  • Conduct and support qualitative & quantitative risk assessments including HAZOP LOPA MOC and QRA studies.
  • Develop risk reduction plans and recommend safeguards to maintain safe operations.
  • Perform consequence modelling and validate safety analysis using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate safety into project design and operations.
  • Support management of change (MOC) and pre-startup safety review (PSSR) activities.
  • Review safety processes standards and compliance requirements to ensure operational excellence.
  • Provide training mentorship and technical guidance on process safety practices.

Requisites

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Process Safety Management concepts such as HAZOP LOPA MOC and QRA.
  • Experience with technical safety and consequence modelling tools like PHAST SAFETI HYSYS Pro/II or FlareSim.
  • Knowledge of process engineering fundamentals including heat transfer fluid dynamics and overpressure protection.
  • Familiarity with international safety standards and industrial safety practices.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving communication and teamwork skills.
