Our client is seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer with strong experience in wet services and fire protection systems within the building services environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual who can lead designs ensure compliance and manage projects across commercial industrial and infrastructure developments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties:

Design and oversee wet services systems (water supply drainage stormwater and sewer).
Develop and review fire protection systems (sprinklers hydrants hose reels and detection systems).
Ensure compliance with SANS codes municipal regulations and relevant industry standards.
Prepare detailed engineering designs drawings and specifications.
Conduct site inspections audits and commissioning support.
Manage projects from concept through to completion including coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
Liaise with clients contractors and authorities for approvals and project delivery.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and draughtsmen.

Minimum Requirements:

BEng/BSc in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (Pr Eng)
510 years experience in building services engineering
Proven experience in wet services and fire protection design
Strong knowledge of SANS 10400 and fire-related codes
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD and Revit)
