Under limited supervision of the Direct Support Manager this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Direct Support Professional I and IIs.

  • Responsible for the supervisory functions of the Direct Support Professional Is and IIs.
  • Ensures that all documentation required for the consumers Individual Support Plan (ISP) have been completed and monitors the safety and care of consumers.
  • Ensures Active Treatment for consumers in assigned buildings is implemented by staff. This entails monitorship programs developed by the Interdisciplinary (ID) Team. Monitors completion of behavior data sheets ISP training programs and GER (General Event Reports) to ensure all required documentation is entered into THERAP. Monitors Day Programs monthly (i.e. on/off campus).
  • Responsible for reporting significant events and suspected abuse immediately per Agency and Office policy and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Positions for this posting are located at Pee Dee Regional Center an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Florence SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This position seeks to fill 3 vacancies on 2nd shift and 1 vacancy on 1st shift.

This position is eligible for up to $3.50/hour shift differential.

Sign-on bonus for eligible candidates paid after 3 6 9 and 12 months of successful continuous employment.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelors Degree and one (1) year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing ICF-IID as well as directives relevant to an ICF. Ability to exercise sound judgment comply with all required regulations and procedures; be a team leader and maintain effective working relationships. Computer skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment which includes standing walking stooping bending and pulling.
