Your work environment at EXP

In this role you will be a part of theMechanical teamfor HospitalityHVAC Design projectsin the Miami (Coral Gables) or Fort Lauderdale FL office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Perform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace Energy Pro DOE)
• Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
• Layout air and water side systems on working drawings
• Understand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for application
• Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
• Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
• Coordinate with other disciplines (mep fp arch struct etc) for HVAC details
• Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects
• Understand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
• Understand both constant and variable flow systems and properly apply equipment

What your experience looks like

• 4 years in designing HVAC systems for Aviation Transit and Commercial Building projects or recent graduate with internship experience in the HVAC field for construction projects including HVAC piping and plumbing.
• AnEngineering Bachelors degree specializing in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering
• Auto CAD REVIT MEP familiar
• Good Written and verbal communication
• EIT Certification is desired working towards PE.
