GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Health Aging Division is seeking an individual who has a passion for improving the lives of Wyomings older adult population. The Aging Division is committed to providing care ensuring safety and promoting independent choices for Wyomings older adults. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.- Provide technical support and data analysis to Aging Division program managers aging network providers and key stakeholders.
- Evaluate programs to measure both short and long-term impacts on aging programs using publicly available data federal and state resources.
- Use data and research to improve and possibly expand existing programs and/or support new initiatives.
- Create customized reports through database software for the use of Aging Division program managers and aging network providers.
- Research requirements and develop goals and objectives for future program implementations.
- Assesses providers adherence to federal state and agency standards assessing the effectiveness of service provision data compilation and analysis.
- Data preparation verification compilation and analysis for state or federal reporting requirements.
- Represents the program by serving as liaison to various state-level interdepartmental programs non-profit coalitions and /or committees.
- Provides provider and participant training and education public education utilizing data analysis resource development identification and implementation of best practices.
- Serve as key liaison for Directors Unit on Policy Research and Evaluation.
- Manage Aging Divisions social media account.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:- Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelors degree in Business Public Administration Human Services Statistics Data Management or Healthcare; or other equivalent education and training with 1-5 years of progressive experience in managing a social services program.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of the principles and practices of grant administration management and evaluation.
- Knowledge of program administration and fiscal reporting
- Ability to research Wyoming state statutes applicable rules and policies.
- Ability to analyze data perform statistical analysis and conduct data processing and management.
- Ability to plan and manage all phases of the research and data analysis projects including timeline data gathering and analysis coordinating the work of others and project deliverables.
- Ability to maintain data agreements and data security and will also draft and manage performance reports for the Division and the Directors Unit on Policy Research and Evaluation.
- Ability to maintain relationships with other policy analysts within the Department of Health and other key stakeholders
- Knowledge of navigating database software and Excel spreadsheets
- Knowledge of marketing social marketing customer service group dynamics public relations advocacy and outreach strategies.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however there may be some walking standing bending carrying light items driving an automobile etc.
