- High Possibility of Extension or Permanent Placement
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Weekly
- Shift Type: Day Shift
- Schedule: Monday Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative operations within a busy Bariatric Surgery outpatient department in Neptune NJ.
The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient clinical experience excellent patient communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms supplies and instruments for patient visits
- Obtain and document patient vital signs accurately in EMR systems
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Collect patient history and perform medication reconciliation
- Perform:
- EKGs
- PFTs
- Audiometry
- Titmus testing
- Phlebotomy
- UDS and BAT collections
- Process insurance authorizations and support billing/collections activities
- Schedule appointments admissions and medical procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and EMR documentation
- Provide patient education regarding wellness disease prevention and follow-up care
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of clinical equipment
- Support patient screening activities both in-person and over the phone
Required Qualifications
- Current CMA or RMA Certification required
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical or ambulatory care experience preferred
- Experience with patient intake vital signs and medical documentation required
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume outpatient setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
