. This full-time on-site position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead our oncology department and provide comprehensive care to patients facing hematological and oncological challenges.
As a leader in this role you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our oncology services ensuring the highest standards of patient care and innovative treatment options. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals driving initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the overall mission of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Hematology Oncology department overseeing clinical operations and patient care
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with hematological and oncological disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management
- Conduct clinical research and trials to advance treatment methodologies
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and fellows
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in hematology and oncology
- Engage with patients and families to provide education and support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience including leadership roles
- Proven track record in managing complex patient cases
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
- Experience in clinical research is highly desirable
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
4-day workweek is also an option
Team Structure: 1 Oncologist 1 NP
Patient Volume:
Cases: Hematology oncology including preventative medicine chronic disease management acute illness treatment chemotherapy treatments etc.
Option for clinic trial participation
12 infusion chairs at the facility
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Compensation & Benefits:
$600K annually RVUs
Quality relocation and sign-on bonuses offered
