Project Accountant
Job Summary
Oracle Project Accounting Management
- Administer and maintain Oracle Project Accounting modules (Project Costing Billing and PPM).
- Ensure accurate setup of projects budgets and expenditure types.
- Monitor and manage project financials including cost allocation revenue recognition and billing.
- Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations between projects and General Ledger.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve complex accounting issues within Oracle systems.
Financial Control & Compliance
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures for project financial management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation for audit readiness and support internal/external audits.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and analyse project financial reports using ERP reports
- Provide insights on project profitability cost variances and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and manage financial risks.
Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in current processes and implement improvements for efficiency.
- Lead testing and implementation and impacting Project Accounting and PPM modules.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance HR Payroll and Project Management teams for labour costing and resource allocation.
- Provide training and guidance to users on Oracle Project Accounting functionalities.
Qualifications :
- Master degree in finance Accounting or related field.
- Professional certifications (CPA CMA or Oracle Financials Certification) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in project accounting with at least 3 years in Oracle Project Accounting or Oracle PPM.
- Strong understanding of project costing billing and revenue recognition principles.

- Expertise in Oracle Project Accounting and Oracle Cloud PPM modules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliation.
