Experienced Chemistry Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Auckland Chemistry Department in a permanent full-time role working Sunday to Thursday.
Key accountabilities include:-
- Perform sample preparation techniques such as aliquoting spiking and tracing samples
- Prepare reagents concentrations and other necessary solutions for laboratory analysis
- Operate and maintain various laboratory equipment and instruments
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of laboratory supplies
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to support ongoing projects and experiments
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures
Qualifications :
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience are preferred.
Experience:
- Previous lab experience of atleast 2 years required.
- Experience with gravimetric methods such as Fats protein moisture and ICP OES.
- Experience in appropriate technical disciplines and quality management systems is preferred.
- Experience with calibration preferred.
