Housing & Food Services has an outstanding opportunity for Lander Desk Occupancy Supervisor (Administrative Assistant Supv (NE S SEIU 925 Supv)) to join their team.
About this Opportunity
Reporting to Regional Desk Supervisor the Lander Desk Occupancy Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight of desk operations and occupancy management including the supervision of student employees at a regional desk that serves students living in the associated residential communities.
Key Responsibilities
Key Management and Occupancy Operations Leadership
Maintain appropriate files and records including floor charts key records check-ins check-outs room and hall changes no-shows and vacates.
Coordinate room change processes including data management offer coordination administrative functions and policy advisement.
Submit and track work orders for rekeys key replacements and building maintenance.
Desk Operations Leadership
Provide customer service to customers residents and guests in residence halls.
Provide information to employees residents conference guests and campus staff regarding departmental procedures policies services events and activities.
Prepare and maintain correspondence reports forms and other communications necessary for effective desk operations.
Plan document and provide group and individual staff training.
Monitor HFS systems such as SharePoint for content that relates/refers to Desk Services.
Participate on unit Department and campus committees and teams as assigned including process improvement initiatives and capital projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of up to 15-25 student employees.
Interview and recommend selection of applicants conduct training assign and schedule work act upon leave requests conduct performance evaluations for student staff recommend disciplinary action as needed.
Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Requires High School/GED AND five years of office or administrative support experience to include one year of experience as a lead or supervisor.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree AND two years of successful supervisory administrative and customer service experience in a related field.
Experience interpreting and communicating complex policies procedures and agreements.
Direct experience working with residence hall desks and conferences.
One year of experience working in an environment covered by Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A satisfactory outcome from criminal background verification is required prior to hire.
Membership in Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
