The Role
MCA Engineering is seeking an experienced hands-on SMP Supervisor with FRP experience to leadand actively participate in civil structural and mechanical works across mining and industrial projects.
This is a working supervisor role you will be expected to lead from the front actively supportyour crew on the tools when required and ensure high-quality delivery across all stages of work.
Based out of Thornton NSW this role will require regular travel to projects across NSW and Mt Isasupporting both surface and underground works.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside teams across SMP and FRP (form reo & pour) scopes
- Actively participate in site works while supervising daily activities
- Coordinate daily site activities to meet project timelines and budgets
- Ensure all works are delivered safely and in line with specifications
- Drive strong WHS compliance and lead by example on the tools and on site
- Oversee quality control inspections and reporting
- Mentor tradespeople and apprentices to build a high-performing team
- Liaise with project managers engineers and clients
About You
- Trade qualified or previous hands-on industry experience
- NSW Supervisor ticket (G1 G8 or G9) or equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience across FRP structural mechanical and piping construction works
- Previous supervisory experience in mining construction or heavy industry
- Underground mining experience highly regarded
- Strong leadership with a practical lead from the front mindset.
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Additional tickets (confined space working at heights operator non slew crane) advantageous
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing
