Job Summary

What you will be required to do:

  • Supervise and coordinate site personnel subcontractors and plant to ensure works are completed safely efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with all health safety environmental and quality (HSEQ) standards across site operations.
  • Implement and maintain project systems processes and procedures to effectively manage risk and drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop and present weekly construction programs to track progress identify potential issues and keep projects on schedule.
  • Oversee the procurement and utilisation of materials equipment and services to ensure they meet required HSEQ and project standards.
  • Provide practical input to the estimating team to improve construction methodologies and support accurate project costing.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients consultants suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership through clear communication sound decision-making and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Monitor the performance of employees and subcontractors addressing issues promptly and escalating where necessary.
  • Stay informed of industry developments client expectations and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Site Supervisor or comparable leadership role within the civil construction industry.
  • Proven background delivering technically complex civil projects including residential and commercial subdivisions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil construction methodologies processes and materials.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving abilities and confidence in making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable industry regulations standards and best-practice requirements.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate multiple responsibilities effectively.
