HK$35795 to HK$57842 (HGPS Pt 14 to Pt 24) per month including Monthly Allowance
To be pro-rated based on the total package and work pattern for a full-time Occupational Therapist II depending on the work hours.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Primary Function
To provide occupational therapy services to patients/clients including assessment treatment program planning and implementation related documentation and communication.
II. Key Result Areas / Job Description
1. Patient Care Process
a) Respond to requests for service and initiate referrals where appropriate.
b) Screen individuals to determine need for intervention.
c) Evaluate patients/clients to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
d) Interpret evaluation findings to patients/clients families significant others and care team members.
e) Develop treatment plans including goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
f) Coordinate treatment plans with patients/clients significant others and care team members.
g) Implement treatment directly or supervise treatment carry out by an assistant.
h) Monitor patients/clients response during intervention and modify treatment as indicated to attain the set goals.
i) Develop appropriate home or community programs to maintain and enhance the performance of the patients/clients in their own environments.
j) Terminate services when maximum benefit has been achieved.
k) Document results of patients/clients assessment treatment follow-up and termination of services.
2. Quality and Risk Management
a) Contribute to the development of treatment protocols clinical guidelines and procedures on patients/clients programs within scope of own experience and based on best current evidence.
b) Participate in clinical audit; risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
c) Follow department practices; be compliance with relevant laws professional standards and Hospital Authority standards.
3. Knowledge and Skills
a) Demonstrate and monitor professional and ethical conducts in all job-related activities.
b) Communicate; establish rapport form collaboration and partnership with peers and other disciplines to assure intra-professional and inter-professional teamwork and continuity of patients/clients care.
4. Training and Development
Participate in or organize training and development programs for assistants supporting staff volunteers occupational therapy students and nonprofessionals.
Entry Requirements:
1. A degree in Occupational Therapy from a local university or equivalent; and
2. Be a registered Part I/II (full registration) Occupational Therapist and have a valid Practising Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.
