Job Summary
FINANCIAL ANALYST
HYBRID ONSITE AT JOSTENS MINNEAPOLIS HEADQUARTERS 3 DAYS/WEEK
ABOUT YOU:
You are a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys being involved in the closing process and transforming numbers into meaningful actionable insights. You bring energy to crossfunctional partnerships collaborating with teams across the business to ensure key metrics are accurate aligned and driving results. Naturally curious and analytical youre confident using reporting and data visualization tools to support smart decisions and continuous improvement for our Scholastic and College teams.
YOU WILL:
- Month-End & Year-End Financial Accounting Close.Support monthly and yearend accounting close processes including preparation and review of journal entries for assigned product lines. Analyze monthend financial results for Scholastic and College markets identifying key drivers and variances. Prepare and maintain supporting documentation and reports for journal entries and close activities. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Weekly Metrics.Produce and review weekly performance metrics for assigned Scholastic and College markets. Prepare weekly metric reporting for Sales and business partners. Research weekly metric discrepancies.
- Analysis.Prepare maintain and update plan and forecast files for Scholastic and College markets. Partner with Product teams to make sure all sales and margins are accurately reflected in financial results. Support pricing through margin and profitability analysis. Work crossfunctionally with Sales Product Supply Chain and Finance Operation teams to support plans forecasts risks and opportunities.
- Other Duties. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support the broader Finance team. Prepare commission adjustments and related reporting for Sales representatives. Support Sales Marketing Operations and Finance with financial questions and data requests. Develop and maintain EDW BI and Access queries to support reporting metrics and analysis needs. Support project implementations including system testing validation and verification. Participate in other finance initiatives and projects as needed.
- Typical/expected % of overnight travel.Less than 5% annually.
YOU HAVE:
- Experience.1-5 years of related experience.
- Education.4-yeardegree in Accounting or Finance.
- Technical Skills.Excellent technical skills in accounting with strong systems aptitude and PC skills specifically spreadsheets (Excel) database (Access) general ledger experience and financial reporting software. Preferred experience inOracle systems G/L experience and BI Technology (Tableau/Power BI) andSAP BPC financial reporting software.
- Attention to Detail.Strong analytical organizational and project management skills required.
- Great Communication Skills.Ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization.

Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized product lines including Yearbooks Class Rings Graduation Products and Professional the utilization of best-in-class technical software such as Workday Adaptive Planning Incorta SAP BPC Oracle Salesforce & the Microsoft Suite you will get to play a critical role in determining financial solutions that steer our Finance team is comprised of several subgroups including decision support FP&A operations and corporate but our success is directly related to a culture of cross-team collaboration.
