Technical Project Manager Structural Steel Fabrication Supervision (mfd)

Location: Korea Start Date: July 2026 Duration: 2 Years
Within our growth and development plan we are seeking for a Technical Project Manager to supervise structural steel fabrication activities at the Clients fabrication subcontractor yard in Korea. The Candidate will act as the key technical interface between the subcontractor and the Client ensuring proper coordination of engineering documentation fabrication activities reporting and technical issue resolution throughout the project execution phase.

Tasks
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the Client focal point for all technical matters related to block fabrication
- Manage technical queries raised by the subcontractor and coordinate responses with the Client
- Review and verify shop engineering documents received from the subcontractor
- Prepare weekly progress reports including:
- Status of shop engineering documentation and technical queries
- Actual fabrication activities performed by the subcontractor including supporting evidence (e.g. photos graphics progress records)
- Forecast of upcoming activities for the next two weeks and Follow-up of previously reported activities
- Relevant interactions site events and project-related issues
- Immediately report any subcontractor deviations or risks including: Delays Fabrication or execution issues Material shortages Quality concerns
- Any matter potentially impacting quality delivery schedule or project cost
- Support the definition and coordination of SDL (Engineering Documents)
- Coordinate all engineering documentation between the subcontractor and document control teams
- Identify and report optimization opportunities to improve quality and/or reduce production time and costs
Requirements
- Your Profile:
Degree in: Structural Engineering Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering Mechanical Engineering Materials Engineering Fabrication Engineering Chemical Engineering or a similar discipline - Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- English language skills at minimum B2 level
- Korean language skills are not mandatory but would be considered an advantage
- Previous experience in developing shop drawings is highly welcomed
- Strong coordination and communication skillsAbility to work in an international and multicultural project environment
