Job Summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is looking for a Cardiovascular Surgery NP or PA to fill their need!

Schedule:
Full-time coverage Aug Jan PRN thereafter
12-hour shifts 3 days per week. including weekends nights and weekdays.
Call Schedule: No call required.
Details:
Program expansion; maternity leave coverage
IP / hospital-based setting covering the CVICU.
Average census: 8-12 patients.
Patient population includes vascular patients requiring neuro checks and post CV surgery patients.
Chest tube removals required.
Staffing includes 2 APPs on the day shift and 1 APP on the night shift.
Supervising Physician Present During Assignment: Yes on site during day shift; available by phone at night and will come in if warranted
Intensivists available 24/7 on site during the day and on call from home at night.
Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
Level II Trauma Center
APP be Working Autonomously: Yes
Required Duties/Procedures:
Thoracentesis
Chest tube insertions
Placement of central venous and dialysis catheters
Placement of arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
May assist with CV surgery consults on weekend shifts

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days
Henry Ford does not reimburse for background checks
Henry Ford does not reimburse for application or credentialing fees.
Perm Placement/Conversion Fee Requirement:
APP: $16k
Locum to Perm Reduction in Conversion Fees:
NP/PA:
160-319 hours $2500 reduction
320-639 hours $3500 reduction
640hours $4500 reduction
Regardless of number of hours a NP/PA has worked reduction will not exceed $4500

Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate

Requirement description :
Board Certified (AANP or NCPA) - REQUIRED
MI License - REQUIRED
ACLS & BLS through AHA - REQUIRED
Must be experienced- minimum of 3 years - REQUIRED
Acute Care trained and certified - REQUIRED

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
ACLS
Board Certified

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
Michigan

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : ACLS required; CALS preferred
Weekend Requirements : As needed
