Key Responsibilities 1. Process & In-Process Quality -
Oversee all quality checkpoints in Welding (MIG/TIG/Spot) and Heavy Fabrication to ensure structural integrity and adherence to blueprints.

Implement robust in-process controls to reduce rework and scrap rates.

Monitor welding parameters consumable quality and welder qualification records (WQR).
2. Customer Quality Management -
Act as the primary point of contact for OEM and Tier-1 customers regarding quality performance.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 8D 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams to resolve customer complaints effectively.

Manage Customer Audits and ensure 100% compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR).
3. QMS & Compliance -
Maintain and evolve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 IATF 16949 or ISO 3834).

Lead internal audit programs and ensure the plant is always audit-ready for external certifications.

Drive the documentation process including PPAP APQP and Control Plans.
4. Leadership & Strategy -
Manage and mentor a diverse team of quality engineers and inspectors.

Develop and monitor Departmental KPIs (Cost of Poor Quality PPM First Pass Yield).

Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain teams to foster a Quality First culture.
