What youll do as part of our cloud- and data engineering team:

Take ownership for projects end to end: From scoping to stakeholder alignment and the delivery of measurable outcomes
Design data architectures for batch and streaming workloads both at small and big data scales
Provision and manage the underlying cloud infrastructure to support those architectures on providers such as AWSAzureor GCP
Building Python ETL/ELT pipelines orchestrated with AirflowDagster or Prefect.
Work with data lake technologies andoptimize(OLAP) data ware-/lakehouses
Model and store data across SQL and NoSQL databases as well asoptimizingperformance and costs
Create web APIs with popular Python frameworks (e.g.FastAPIand Flask) and describe them using standards likeOpenAPI/Swagger
Automate deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code and container technologies such as DockerKubernetesor OpenShift

Who you are

A passionate data engineer who loves being at the forefront of modern AI-driven technology but also cares about the engineering craftmanship.
2 years of hands-on experience with a cloudhyperscaler(preferably AWSAzureor GCP).
Preferably 3 years of experience building production-grade software.
A senior-level Python developer who writes idiomatic and well-tested code.
Skilled in performance tuning and optimization of relational databases (e.g. through indexingshardingor partitioning).
Experienced with data workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Apache AirflowDagsteror Prefect).
Competent with large-scale data processing and modern analytics stacks (e.g. Apache Spark Snowflakedbtor similar technologies).
Proficient with containerization and container orchestration (e.g. DockerKubernetesor similar technologies).
A clear confident communicator in German and English who can translate between business and engineering.
Customer-centric results-driven and willing to occasionally travel to clients.
